It is with great sadness that the family of the late John James (Jack) Shea announces his passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls - Windsor, NL, March 5, 2026 at the age of 89.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Henry Canning & Mary Ellen Shea; Sister, Gertie Swanson; infant sisters, Carmel & Eileen; parents in law, Stephen & Ethel Furey; brothers in law Conrad Furey, Harris Bath, James Paddock, Gordon Swanson, Craig McQuitty, Gerry St-Amand; Infant Sister In Law, Agnes; Infant Brothers In Law, Stephen & William.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 65 years Josephine; Children, Sean (Jolena) Shea, Tim (Elizabeth) Shea, Brad Shea, Jackie (Barry) McLean, Paula Shea; Grandchildren, Rochelle (Jeff) Butcher, James Quigley, Shauna Shea, Megan (Luke) Pilgrim, Shayla McLean, Haylee (Brian) Snell, Brandon Shea, Davis (Anjelique) Crispo, James (Emma) Shea, Johanna Shea; Great-Grandchildren, Ian, Claire, Jack, Gavin, Sylvie, Ethan; Siblings, Mary Paddock, Gerard (Shirley) Shea, Mitzi McQuitty, Kay (Gene) Ahrens, Lorraine St-Amand, Vicki Shea, Ken (Karyl) Shea; Siblings in law, Ned (Linda) Furey, Tom (Dorothy) Furey, Mike (Louise) Furey, Pearce (Ann) Furey, Don (Sheila) Furey, John (Louise) Furey, Anne Bath, Joe (Lisa) Furey, Mary (Jim) Reeves, Theresa Furey; Also a large circle of family and friends, and fur baby Raven.

The public visitation will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM, followed by a Rosary and Wake service at 6:00PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.

Funeral service for family and close friends will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 1:00PM from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL.
