St. John's

Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jesse Jason Parsons announces his sudden passing at his residence in St. John's NL aged 27 years.

Jesse Jason Parsons, beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend, unexpectedly passed on August 15, 2023, following a short illness, at the age of 27. He is survived by his mother Roxanne, stepfather Rodney, grandmother Pamela, brother Cody (Samantha), stepbrother Nathan (Nicole), stepsister Kayla (Brad), nieces and nephews Ashton, Landon, Jaxxon, Charlotte, and Grace as well as large extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Jason Parsons, grandfathers Ronald Rowsell and William Parsons, and grandmother Betty Bursey.

Jesse was a charismatic, charming man with a kind, generous heart whose loss is being felt around the world. Known for giving the best bear hugs, he left an impact on everyone he met, whether that be through work, online, or anywhere in between. Whenever you were around Jesse you knew that you would not be able to stop yourself from laughing, and those who knew and loved him will never forget his contagious laugh. Jesse cared so deeply about those around him and once you were in his life, he did what he could to show his love and appreciation. Jesse was known for taking care of those around him, always picking up for and protecting anyone who needed his help. Jesse was the best person to talk to; he listened to everything you had to say, spoke from the heart, and it was easy for the hours to pass while talking with him. Jesse brought so much joy to the world and despite his young age had so much wisdom to share just when you needed it the most. The world is a little less bright now without this humble, sweet, incredible man.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public visitation. A private family service will take place at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Grand-Falls Windsor, NL at a later date with Reverend Cindy Graham officiating. The service is by invitation only due to limited capacity. A video of the service will be made available.

Jesse was passionate about talking about the hard things in life, and the importance of your mental wellness. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jesse's memory to The Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation (https://www.jpmemorialfoundation.com/), Spirit Horse (https://www.spirithorsenl.com/), or an organization of your choosing.
