Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Mary "Jean" Burton announces her passing. Jean slipped into the presence of the Lord at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at the age of 80 years.

Predeceased by her husband – Gerald Burton and her parents – Stenny & Elizabeth Newman; brothers – Oliver Newman, Robert Newman and Leonard Newman.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children - Loretta Tilley-White (Junior), Middle Arm, NL, Wyatt Burton (Audrey), Fort McMurray, AB, Mikita Burton (Beverly), Fort McMurray, AB, Jacqui Noble (Elmo), Kitchener, ON, Joanne England, Fort McMurray, AB, Bishop David Burton (Glynis), Montreal QC and Jamie Burton (Kimberly), Middle Arm, NL; grandchildren - Suzanne Zanoni (James), Valene Tilley (Kirk Downey), Blake England (Alison Hewlett), Christian Noble (Jenny), Andre Burton, Geralee England (Michael Pollard), Nikita Marsh (Andrew), Destiney Budgell (Stefan), Sommer Hull (Alex), Ocean Burton (Travis Wellman); great-grandchildren - Kash England, Brody Clark, Miguel Zanoni, Paislee Budgell, Riley Marsh, Rose Pollard, Eli Noble, Rayne Wellman, Brooke Zanoni and Karlie Marsh, as well as brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation or Funeral Service. Pastor Gary Bartlett conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Foster Funeral Home. Interment followed at Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm, NL.

We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Jean's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Burton family.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Jean's memory to the Gideon's International.
