It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Rice Bowers announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on August 14th, 2025, at the age of 87.

Jean leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Wanda (Roland), Wavey (Terry), Christine (Eric), Kevin (Donna); Grandchildren, Jason, Jay, Dion (Darcie), Darren, Cody (Geniva), Myles (Ky-lee), Tyler (Mercedez) and Julian. Great-grandchildren, Lucas (Jackie), Brady, Dorian, Daphne, Jaxson, Avery, William, Vailen, Nathan, Taiven and Xander; Great-great-Grandchildren, Sebastian, Avery and Kendrick.

Jean is predeceased by her Parents, Ronald & Elsie Warren; First husband, Edger Paul Rice; Second husband, Cyril Bowers; Daughter, Paula Jean; Sisters, Cavel, Ruda (Stan), Vivian (Ross), Verna (Allan); Parent in-law, Sterling & Dinah Rice.

Mom also loved her niece/our cousin Michelle Small who showed her so much love, kindness and joy in her videos of mom and her mom Aunt Vivian.

Public visitation will take place at St. Swithin's Anglican Church in Seal Cove, NL, on August 19th, 2025, from 11:00AM - 1:30PM.
