It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James "Jim" Heber Parsons announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the age of 79 years.

Left with a lifetime of beautiful memories is his daughter, Shawna Nurse (Carson), Edmonton, AB; grandchild, Grey James; siblings, Elsie Fudge (Milton), Blanche Parsons, Jessie Osbourne (Alymer), Bessie Chaulk, Malcolm Parsons, Gordon Parsons (Sadie), John Parsons (Beverly), Garland Parsons (Glenda) and Gerald Parsons (Viola); siblings-in-law, Garland Osbourne, Ruby Parsons, Maxine Parsons, Jean Wells (Kosta), Audrey Patey (Weldon), Yvonne Parsons (Wilfred), Elaine Earle Brown (Derek) and Phillis Earle, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jim is predeceased by his wife, Fern Parsons; parents, Maxwell and Gladys Parsons; siblings, Maxwell Parsons (Daisy), William Parsons, Melvin Parsons and Neta Osbourne; nephews, Roger Parsons, Tony Earle, Leon Padey and Paul Padey; parents-in-law, Charles and Cecily Earle; siblings-in-law, Melita Parsons, Wallace Chaulk, Cyril Parsons, Freeman Earle, Bruce Earle, Clyde Earle, Gaye Elliott (Reginald) and Ron Padey.

Public visitation took place from St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2 pm, with Reverend Nancy Hulan officiating. Interment followed from St. Swithin's Anglican Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.
