It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Garfield Budgell announces his passing. James passed away at St. Claire's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL on December 24th, 2021 at the age of 81 years.

Jim is predeceased by his parents – Warrick & Mary Budgell; parents-in-law – Maxwell & Flossie Critch; sisters – Patience Andrews (Stewart), Janie Jacobs (Jack), Beatrice Burton (Jordan); siblings-in-law – Bert Critch (Ethel), Freeman Critch, Viola Warren (Randolph); son-in-law – Austin Bath; nephews – Terry Burton & Joshua Critch.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his wife – Lily; children – Kathleen (Willard), Warrick (Denise), Louise (Chris), Tony (Melinda) & Heather (Karen); grandchildren – Draper (Brittany), Randy, Ashley (Jarvis), Grant (Sarah), Ocean-Lee, Melanie (Tyler), Roman, Alicia, Taylor, Skye (Josh), Samantha (Anthony) & Tyler; 13 great-grandchildren; sister – Lillian Critch; brothers-in-law - Randy Critch (Jeanette) and Sandy Critch (Judy), along with a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many, many friends.

Public Visitation took place at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM. In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, visitors must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo id to attend the visitation.

Reverend Harry Oake conducted the Funeral Service at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at 2:00PM. Those attending the service must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo ID.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in James' memory to Zion United Church Cemetery, P.O. Box 217, La Scie, NL A0K 3M0.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Mains Street, Baie Verte, NL.
