Ignatius Graham
(Demps) Kennedy
Jun 25, 1957 — Dec 8, 2024
Coachman's Cove
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Demps (Ignatius) Kennedy announces his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL at the age of 67 years.
A devoted husband & father, brother & friend; Demps had a very vibrant personality. He seemed to know everyone everywhere he went. Wherever he went, whether it be darts, a dance or a party, he brought the place to life with his antics. He was a very caring husband & father who put his family first and foremost. Everywhere he worked his co-workers and patrons loved him. He was a kind gentle soul and always had a way of making you laugh.
Demps was born in Norris Point, NL, on June 25,1957 to Mary and Lander Kennedy, the sixth of nine children. Three years later they moved to Corner Brook where Demps grew up and spent the majority of his life; where he met the love of his life, Kay, 39 years ago. Together they built a beautiful life there for sixteen years raising two wonderful sons, until his work moved them to Coachman's Cove in 2001. There they continued to raise their boys until their devastating loss of their son Bradley in 2004 at the age of 15. As a family they got through the hurdles and hardships and healed again.
Demps made many many friends along the way and hung on to and treasured his old ones as well. Wherever he went, he had a smile and a wave for everyone. He will be so so missed.
Goodbye my precious husband and best friend. I will treasure the memories we made and I will love and miss you and hold you in my heart forever.
Goodbye Dad. I'm so proud to be your son. I will love and miss you forever. Give Bradley a hug from me & mom. Until we meet again, rest in peace.
Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you. You will be deeply missed but your memory will be forever cherished by your family and all who had the privilege of knowing you.
