It is with sadness that the family of the late Ida Rebecca Baker announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 96 years.

Ida leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Marilyn (Harry) Strickland, Trixie (Cliff) Burt, Hazel (Carson) Noseworthy, Chris, & Edgar (Lynette Blake); step-daughter, Ursi Jamieson; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren; step-brother, Clarence (Linda-Mae) Hibbs; as well as a number of other relatives and friends.

Ida is predeceased by her first husband, Benson Tarrant; second husband, Herbert Baker; children, Abel Tarrant; daughter, Mae Tarrant; parents, Bennett & Etta Burt; siblings, Fred (Monnie) Burt, Peter (Amy) Burt, Annie (Alvin) Roberts, Margaret (Abe) Earle, Mary (Garfield) Blake, Lillian  (Stanley) Canning; daughters-in-law Pauline Tarrant, & Uni Tarrant.

In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, the visitation will take place Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2-4 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, the funeral service will take place Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3 PM from The Salvation Army Citadel, Peterview, NL. The interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Peterview, NL.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to The Salvation Army Memorial Fund, Peterview, NL.
