Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herma Beatrice (Boone) Sacrey announces her passing. Herma passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord at her family home in Stephenville, NL on Friday, February 7th, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

Herma is predeceased by her husband - Gilbert Sacrey (2012); sons - Mckinley Bruce Sacrey and Everett Eric Sacrey; parents - John & Hilda Boone; parents-in-law - William & Mary Sacrey; siblings - Hedley Boone (Gertie), Abner Boone, Nelson Boone (Dulcie), Eric Boone (Mary), Freda Clarke (Harris), Oliver Boone and Mae Budgell (Clarence) and siblings-in-law - William Sacrey (Gertie), Derrick Sacrey, Allan Sacrey, Augustus Sacrey, Lucy Warrick-Bakka (Raymond), Shirley Sacrey, Harry Burton and Gilbert Brent.

Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children - Marilyn Hillier (Wilfred), Willie Sacrey (Gertie), Hedley "Joe" Sacrey (Rose), Hilda Young (Gregory), Ivan Sacrey (Judy), Inga Norman (Alvin), Robert "Frank" Sacrey (Tammy) and Verna Norman (Benjamin); 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; siblings-in-law - Clarence Sacrey (Margaret), Mabel Brent, Frank Sacrey (Margaret), Charlie Sacrey, Ivy Burton, Melissa Parsons (Carl), Annie Sacrey and Florence Billings as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

Pastors Frank & Sandra Newbury, assisted by Pastor Darren Sacrey, conducted the Service of Home-Going & Celebration from Harvest Time Pentecostal Assembly, Pacquet, NL on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at 2:00PM. Interment followed from Harvest Time Pentecostal Cemetery, Pacquet, NL.

An an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Herma's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Newfoundland & Labrador Division, 70 Ropewalk Lane, P.O. Box 8921, St. John's, NL A1B 3R9.
