It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Herbert "Herb" James Ward announces his tragic passing in La Scie, NL on Monday, November 20, 2023, aged 53 years.

Left with fond and loving memories are his spouse, Lorraine; sons, Marcus and Jamie (Tanya); grandchildren, Jordan (Makayla) and Jena-Lee; father, Cecil (Sandra); sister, Kimberly (Collin); brothers, Tony (Nicole) and Craig (Alison); mother-in-law, Genevieve Rideout; siblings-in-law, Albert (Olive), Harold (Maud), Alonzo, Dianne (Larry), Gladdale (Bruce), Greta (Nolin), Brenda (Dennis), Paula (Bently), Herman (Manette), Curtis (Nancy) and Norma; his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Brittany (Steve), Devon (Emma), Amber (Jordan) and Kyle (Bailey); great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashlynn, Lincoln, Quinn and Jensen; his furry friend, Lily, who he loved dearly and treated like his child; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Herb is predeceased by his mother, Viola Ward; father-in-law, Howard Rideout; brother-in-law, Wilbert Rideout; grandparents, William and Lucy Ward, Herbert and Ruby Burton.

Public visitation will take place from The Salvation Army Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 6-9 pm, continuing on Saturday, November 25 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.

The funeral service will take place from The Salvation Army Church, La Scie, NL on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 1 pm, with Major Kay Barnes officiating. Interment will follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers and donations to The Salvation Army Youth Programs are graciously accepted.
