It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry James Wimbleton announces his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL, on March 28, 2026 at the age of 86 years.

Henry was born in Shoe Cove Bight, NL on May 1, 1939 to George and Josephine Wimbleton.

On April 11, 1969 he married the love of his life Rose Marie (Doll) and they were blessed with two beautiful children.

Henry started working as a fisherman at the age of 12 with his dad and he continued to fish until his retirement, but his life for the ocean always remained.

Henry's passions were trouting, trapping, and hunting.

Henry was predeceased by his wife Rose Marie (Doll); his parents, George and Josephine Wimbleton; parents-in-law, Herbert and Ruby Burton; Great Grandson Theo Batstone; Sister, Pearl Morey; Brothers-in-law, Hubert Morey and Ralph Newman; Sister-in-law, Viola Ward; Nephews, Vaughn Newman, Herbert Ward & Chuck Burton.

Henry leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his two children Patty Gray (Terry), Rhonda Martin (Richard); Grandchildren, Vaughn (Christina), Kaitlyn (Adam), Kendra (Shane), Jamera (Nick), Hannah (Dylan) & Riley; Great-grandchildren, Alexis, Noah, Brooks, Kinsley, Alaina & Kasey; Sibling, Daisy Blanchard (Wayne); Siblings-in-law, Excie King (Raymond), Donna Gray (Hayward), Judy Newman (Chris), Keith Burton (LuAnn), Maxine Burton (Eugene), Corey Burton (Stacey), Cecil Ward (Sandra); Special friends, Ida & Gerald Wimbleton; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and many friends.

The public visitation will take place Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM & 6:00PM - 8:00PM from Zion Pentecostal Church, Shoe Cove, NL.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 2:00PM from Zion Pentecostal Church, Shoe Cove, NL.
