The family of the late Harvey Newbury are saddened to announce the passing of such a great man on December 29, 2023, aged 80 years at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL.

Harvey was born on October 3, 1943 at Shoe Cove Bight to Eleazer and Gladys Newbury. They along with his sister, Jean moved to Burlington. At the age of 17, he met the love of his life, Winnifred. They were married on June 26, 1964, together they raised four children and were blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

One of his greatest passions was spending time cutting wood, which is how he provided for his family for many years. In later years he worked along side his son, Wayne and son-in-laws, Roger and Craig in the carpentry business.

Harvey's priorities were his devotion to God, his family and work.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife, Winnifred Newbury, Burlington, NL; children, Wayne Newbury (Theresa) Burlington, NL, Barbara Noseworthy (Roger), Middle Arm, NL, Rex Newbury (Bruce Pollard), St. John's, NL and Joanne Janes (Craig), Burlington, NL; grandchildren, Paul (Jess), Stefan (Sarah), Patrick (Felicia), Stacey (Cody), Nicholas (Stacey) and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Carter, Miley, Avril, Claira, Daisy, Jonathon, Spencer, Jackson and Isaac; sister, Jean King; siblings-in-law, Jessie, George Ivy (Neil), Cecil (Betty-Lou), Barbara (Neil), Pansy (Guy),Harvey (Nola), Bessie (Rick) and Frank (Debbie), as well as a large circle of extended family and many friends.

Harvey is predeceased by his parents, Eleazer and Gladys Newbury; infant brother, Sammy; parents-in-law, Leander and Agnes Lush; brother-in-law, Lloyd King.

Public visitation will take place from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NL on Sunday December 31, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service will take place from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NL on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 1 pm with Pastor David Crane officiating. Interment will follow from Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, Burlington, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harvey's memory to Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, Burlington, NL.
