Harold Norman George Small's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Norman George Small announces his passing. Harold passed away at his family home in Wild Cove, NL on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Harold is predeceased by his first wife - Jean (Simms) Small; son - Carson Small; parents - George & Bessie Small; parents-in-law - Murray & Evelyn Butler; siblings - Lillian Dawe (Edward), John Small (Elvie), Frances Small (Baxter), Stewart Small, Mildred "Millie" Pardy (Lester), Randolph Small and Allan Small and brother-in-law - Bert Hamlyn and Eric Taylor.
Left to cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories is his wife of 43 years - Maxine Small; children - Ivan Small, Austin Small, Marsha Richards (Dwayne) and Melanie Small; grandchildren - Stephen Small (Lori), Janet Gray (David), Brendan Richards and Aiden Richards; great-grandchildren - Shane, Shyann, Capri, Jack and Eli; siblings - Ruby Hamlyn, Mark Small (Patricia) and Mabel Rice (Paul); siblings-in-law - Joyce Slade (Harold), Maureen Taylor, Piney Small and Joyce Small as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation took place at Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 from 2:00-4:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.
Pastor Jamie Rowsell conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at 2:00PM. Interment followed at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Cemetery, Wild Cove, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu for flowers, donations may be made in Harold's memory to Canadian Cancer Society, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, 70 Ropewalk Lane, P.O. Box 8921, St. John's, NL A1B 3R9 or The Kidney Foundation of Canada, 10 Pippy Place, Suite 102, St. John's, NL A1B 3X3.
