It is with sadness that the family of the late Gordon Eric Mitchell announces his passing at the Slave Lake Care Centre, Slave Lake, AB, aged 72 years.

Gordon leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of almost 53 years, Myrtis; sons, Mike (Kara), Andy (Pauline), Chad (Heather); daughter, Barb (Mike); grandchildren, Eric (Ebony), Jamie, Greg, Chelsea (Steve), Adam, Brett, Shelby and Brandi (Coner); great-grandchildren, Ember, Abigail and Lucianna; siblings, Cassie Dicks (Max), Palma Saunders (Ches), Pheobe Rideout (Rayfield), Jack Mitchell (Clowie), & Eugene Mitchell (Chloe); in-laws, Melvin Penney (Lucy), Willis Penney (Vivian), Lester Penney (Ruth), Leander Penney (Elsie), & Ross Penney; as well as a number nephews, nieces, other relatives & friends.

Gordon is predeceased by his parents, Eleazer & Emma Mitchell; father & mother-in-law, Adam & Ida Penney; brothers, Lorne & Gus Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Roy Penney, Graden Shiner & Winston Burden; sisters-in-law, Maisie & Donna Mitchell & Shirley Burden; nephew, Aubrey Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Ellie Rose.

Public visitation will take place from Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

The funeral service will take place from Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 1 pm with Pastor Gary Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow at Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm, NL.
