It is with great sadness that the family of the late Golda Ward announces her passing from the Valley Vista Seniors Home, Springdale, NL, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 87.

Predeceased by her husband – Lloyd Ward and son Sandy Ward; parents – Pearce & Ida Dicks; parents-in-law – Lorenzo & Hazel Ward; siblings – Juanita Dicks, Frederick Dicks, Molly Dicks and Verbena Winsor; son-in-law Donald Haas; brothers-in-law James Martin, Barry Kean and Harold Ward (Effie).

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her children – Wavey Haas, Brents Cove, NL, Geraldine Gourley (Jerry Parsons), Digby, NS, Ida Skinner (Walter), Springdale, NL, Nancy Ward (Shannon Clance), La Scie, NL, Lisa Ward, Fort McMurray, AB,  Gerald Ward, Halifax, NS,  Corey Ward (Tanya Snow), La Scie, NL and Troy Ward, Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren – Dwayne Skinner (Sherry), Laura Lillington (Mike), Shauna Haas, Danielle Boone (Jerry Noble), Candace Ward (Robbie Jacobs), Michael Gourley (Jenn Tucker), Jeffrey Gourley, Burton Ward (Brittany Abbott) and Brady Ward (Emily);  9 great-grandchildren; sisters – Neta Butt (Sam) and Irene Kean; daughter-in-law Kimberly Ward; siblings-in-law – Sandra Foster (Roy) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public visitation will take place from The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm.

The funeral service will take place from The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 1 pm, with Envoy Sandra Pinksen officiating. Interment will follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
