Obituary

Passed away suddenly on Friday, July 12, 2024, Glenda "Glen" Joan Hamilton at the age of 79.

She leaves to mourn her sons, Rodney (Anne), Terry (Peggy), Sean (Darlene); as well as her precious grandchildren, Sandy (Justin), Michelle (Sufyan), Tyler, Josh, and Jenna; her great grandchildren, Finnley and Fox; as well as her sisters, Betty Tilley and Shirley Smith; brothers, Dave (Judy) Smith and Jim (Elaine) Smith.  She will also be missed by her sister-in-law, Marie Hamilton, who assisted her in her daily activities in recent years; her sister-in-law, Deanna Hamilton; her brothers-in-law, Reg (Debbie) Hamilton, and Terry (Eleanor) Hamilton; along with her many nieces and nephews.

Glenda was predeceased by her husband, Phillip; her parents, Jean and Walter Smith; her sister, Marg; and her brother, Len.

Everyone was welcome at Glen's/Mom's house and were always offered at least a cup of tea and a treat.  She loved going on short road trip adventures with her sister, Betty, and her nephew, Rob, and hosting "the girls birthday club" for cake to celebrate each of her friends' birthdays.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the brightest lights in her life.  They each held a very special place in her heart, and her giant bear hugs will always be remembered.  They loved sharing stories with her and having lots of laughs over the years.  But most of all, Nan was a great listener.

As Glenda always loved receiving fresh flowers and having them in her home, flowers are welcome as a tribute to her.

Mom/Nan/Glen – you will be missed.  We will always love you very much and you will never leave our hearts.
