It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Gideous Willis Mitchell announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, aged 76 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife of 40 years, Lorraine Mitchell; puppies, Charlie, Tiny, Polar, Toby and Hunter; siblings, Tom Mitchell (Helen), Les Mitchell (Dona), Doris Hoven, Gwen Alcock (Roy), Teddy Mitchell (Theresa); brother-in-law, Wesley Peddle; special nephew, Ed Hoven; special friend, Travis Saunders, who was like a son to Gid, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gideous is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Mitchell; sisters, Maude McDonald (Jimmy), Jean Peddle and Pansy Mitchell.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitations and no funeral service.

Interment will take place from Bethany United Cemetery, Baie Verte,  NL on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10 am, with Mrs. Beverly Snow and Pastors Wayne and Joy Baker officiating.
