It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Gertrude Walsh announces her passing from her family residence in Fleur de Lys, NL on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

Left with a lifetime of beautiful memories are her children, Darren Walsh (Stella), Fleur de Lys, NL, Ralph Walsh (Sherrye Shelley), Fleur De Lys, NL, Keith Walsh (Tina), Fort McMurray, AB, Karen Tobin (Len), Port Hardy, BC and Kerry Walsh (Tonya), Port Hardy, BC; grandchildren, Daniel (Deanna), Theresa, Hailey, Matthew, Sarah, Brandon, Dylan, Jayden and Riley; great-grandchildren, Arabella and Ronnie; siblings, Herbert Aylward (Barbara), Dennis Aylward (Pearl), Gerald Aylward (Brenda), Joan Willis (Sherman), Sharon Evans (Tom), Marg Aylward (Darren), Gabriel Aylward, Daphne White (Laurie) and Marcella Croke (Tom); siblings-in-law, Jackie Aylward, Cecilia Walsh, Kathleen Walsh, Francis Walsh, Jerry Walsh (Linda), Alphonsus Walsh (Rose), Alice Bailey (Jim) and Phyllis Hoven, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Gertrude is predeceased by her husband, Abraham Walsh; parents, Herbert and Mary Aylward; siblings, Patrick Aylward, Laura Aylward, James Aylward, Gerard Aylward and Irene Green (Sylvester); parents-in-law, Abraham and Mary Bridget Walsh; siblings-in-law, Douglas Walsh, Mary Breen (Bill), Liz Breen (Leonard), Louise Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Patrick Walsh (Minnie), Lar Walsh, Joseph Walsh, Dan Hoven and Madeline Drover (Mick).

Public visitation took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 7-9 pm, continuing on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The Rosary service took place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 7 pm.

The Wake service took place on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 7 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11 am with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment followed from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
