It is with sadness that the family of the late George Roger Lanning announces his passing at his residence in Botwood, NL aged 63 years.

George leaves to mourn his beloved daughter Katie (Cornell who he always referred to as Katie's soul mate); co-parent,  Jackie & Sam,(who he loved mentoring; brothers, Reg(Verna), Cyril (Sandra), Dave(Lucy); sisters, Irene(Hank), Ruth, & Cindy(Jim);sisters in law, Bev, & Patricia; as well as a large circle of nieces,  and nephews who were very special to him.

George is predeceased by his parents,  Malcolm & Abigail; parents-in-laws, Eli & Adeline Mercer; brothers, Jerry (Bev), & Gary(Patricia); sisters Joan(Dave), & Sheila (Earl); nephew, Jonathon; brothers-in-law,  Byron(Ruth), Earl(Sheila), John Mercer & Sam Mercer.

George attended technical college and obtained his certificate in electronics. He lived for periods in Alberta and BC. He last worked as a general contractor with his brother and best friend Gary. George believed in a life with nature that he passed on to all that knew. He will be sadly missed

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place with private visitation & funeral service at a later date.
