It is with sadness that the family of the late Gary Wayne Peckford, aged 68 years, of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador, announce is passing on July 2, 2026.

Born in Botwood, Gary spent many years away before returning home. While life took him beyond the shores of Newfoundland for a time, he eventually found his way back home. Though he has now taken his final voyage, his memory remains anchored in the hearts of those who loved him.

Gary leaves to mourn his father, Arthur Peckford; his son, Steven; his brothers, Craig and Shawn; and his sister, Paula. He was predeceased by his mother, Eileen Peckford (née Carpenter), and his brother, Bim.

In keeping with his wishes, a private gathering will be held for those who were close to him.

The family extends their sincere thanks to everyone who has offered support, kindness, and condolences during this difficult time.
