Garfield (Gary, Gar) at the age of 63, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on May 15, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Gary was born February 5, 1959 to Ivy and Burt Stroud. He worked many years as an ironworker (1999) with the local 764.

Gary was a devoted father, a loving husband, and an incredible friend. When he wasn't working on vehicles down at the lot, or spending time with his many grandchildren, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the frequent trip to his cabin on the Wigwam.

Gary was married to wife, Marie Bullard (Stroud), October 7, 1977. Marie and Gary spent timeless years devoted to each other and were blessed with two beautiful children; Tina and Rodger. Gary especially will be remembered by his unwavering kindness, his compassion for others, and his love for his family. Gary had a heart unlike any other and his love lives on through his family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Marie, his four brothers, nine sisters, numerous in-laws, as well as his two children, Tina (Bruce) and Rodger (Tonya), his five grandchildren, William (Abigail), Skylar (Samantha), Nicholas, Faith, Jayson, and Bobbie (Brophy) the Big Mac Delivery Lady: a very close friend as well as an honorary granddaughter. Gary is also survived by his two great granddaughters Alexis and Violet. He is predeceased by his parents Ivy and Burt Stroud, brothers Derek, John, Gord, Albert and Leonard, as well as sister Jenny and sister-in-law Mary Pippy.

Gary will also be greatly missed by his abundance of very close friends and coworkers who honored and cared for him, such as Ed McDonald, Wayne Mercer, John Cooke, Johnny Pardy, Keith Champion, Pat Bouzane, Artie Pomroy, Bill Hynes, as well as the late Randy Cooke.

There will be no service as a request of the family, but rather a private celebration of Gary's life at a later date. The family asks at this time for privacy and would like to thank everyone for prayers and condolences. He will be greatly missed.
