It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Francis "Todd" Dempsey announces his tragic passing in Baie Verte, NL on January 2, 2023 at the age of 54 years.
Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife, Kerry Dempsey, Baie Verte, NL; children, Shavonna Dempsey (Jarod), Mackenzie, BC, Taylor Dempsey (Jeremy), Mackenzie, BC, Trevor England (Michelle), Baie Verte, NL and Andrew England, Vancouver, BC; mother, Josephine Dempsey; his pride and joy, his granddaughters, Charlotte England and Remi Jo Hubert; siblings, Kim Dempsey and Jill Kenny (Sean); parents-in-law, Stewart and Betty England; siblings-in-law, Kim Penney (Steve) and Kelly Power (Perry); dog and shop buddy, Jax; co-workers and buddies, Rodney Payne (Tracey), Jamie Chipp (Nancy) and Craig Janes (Joy); lifelong friends, Darrell and Vieta Barker, and a large circle of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Todd is predeceased by his father, Frank Dempsey; maternal grandparents, Stephen John and Josephine Lewis; paternal grandparents, Patrick and Winnifred Dempsey; step-grandfather, John Paul.
Visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 7-9 pm for family and friends.
Public visitation took place on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2-4 pm, continuing to St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL from 7-9 pm.
Wake Service took place from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 7 pm.
Family requests that anyone who feels comfortable to wear a mask is encouraged to do so.
The Mass of Christian Burial took place from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 12 pm with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment followed from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL.
A luncheon will be provided for all those attending at St. Theresa's Church Hall after the interment.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
