Shoe Cove
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Lydia Gray announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 76.
Florence was born on January 10, 1949 to Peter and Gladys Osmond in Hampton. She later met her husband Ralph and they married. together they raised three children. Florence stayed home and raised her children. She worked in the fish plant for a little while and a few summers she worked on the wharf with her husband. Flo's passion was cooking ...she loved to cook, especially her famous jiggs dinner where many were feed and enjoyed their meal to the fullest, she also loved to bake tarts for anyone who asked. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband Ralph Gray; Children, Stanley Gray (Janie), Nelson Gray (Pamela), Paula Osbourne (Richard); Grandchildren, Stacey (BJ), Joshua, Taylor (Tyler), Cody (Chelsey), Keona (Jonathan), Chloe (Logan); Great-grandchildren, Parker, Lucy, Charlee; Siblings, Betty (Stanley), Maude, Lillian (Norman), Pauline (Randolph), Roy (Maisey), Ken (Debbie), Wade, Selby, Paul (Bonnie); Siblings in-law, Effie (Lloyd), Rose (James), Marjorie (Baxter), Alma, Katherine, Cathy.
Florence was predeceased by her parents Peter & Gladys Osmond; Sister Cora Davis; Brothers, Walter Osmond & Garland Osmond
Public Visitation will take place from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL on Saturday January 3, 2026, from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
The funeral service will take place from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL on Sunday January 4, 2026, at 1:00PM with Reverend Corey Paul Officiating. Interment to follow from First United Cemetery, Shoe Cove, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
