It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Evelyn "Eileen" Richards announces her sudden passing on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the age of 82 years.

Here is a story that should be told of a beautiful lady with a heart of gold. Evelyn Eileen Richards was born on October 5, 1940 to loving parents, Ernest and Dorothy Regular and raised in a large, beautiful family in Ming's Bight.

Eileen married the love of her life, Albert Regular and had eleven children. Her time with him was short when he died with cancer in 1978 and she was left to raise her family at the young age of 36 years. This speaks to the strength of the woman she was. Eileen married Henry Foster in 1984 and they shared a wonderful life together for 21 years until he passed away. She then had the privilege to find love once again when she married Arthur Richards in 2011.

Eileen was a strong, loving, kind and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a true example of a Godly woman. Proverbs 31 describes her perfectly: "she was clothed with dignity and strength", "she spoke with wisdom and truth", "She was a loving mother and her children called her blessed", "she served everyone with love and kindness", "she was strong", "she was more precious then rubies". Many women have done noble things, but she surpassed them all.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories is her husband, Arthur Richards; children, Christine (Bert), Eddie (Ella), Derrick (Cathy), Doris, Martina (Neil), Brian (Marlene), Bonnie (Dennis) and Vanessa (Jerry); daughter-in-law, Phyllis; son-in-law, David; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Eileen had the privilege to extend her family twice when she married Henry Foster and gained step-children, Ralph (Viola), Velma, Roy (Marion), Jim (Rose), Roland (Donna), Cora (Clayton) and Elaine (Gary). And again in 2011 when she married Arthur Richards and gained step-daughter, Lorraine (Terry); Eileen had a big heart and her love was strong. She welcomed both families with open arms. She also leaves to mourn her siblings, Milton (Marie), Shirley (Maxwell), Gladys, Stella (Glenn), Kay (Pratt), Hazel (Carl), Gertie, Nola (Terry), as well as many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Eileen is predeceased by her first husband, Albert Regular; second husband, Henry Foster; children, Cordella, Kerby and Ruth; great-granddaughter, Destiny; step-son, David; parents, Ernest and Dorothy Regular; siblings, Victor, Melvin and Mervin; siblings-in-law, Blanche Regular, Henry Gale, David Fudge, Harvey Legge, Audrey Greenham, Melvina Decker, Myrtle Sacrey, Eric Regular and Chesley Regular.

Public visitation took place from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Ming's Bight, NL on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Ming's Bight, NL on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 2pm with Pastor Ricardo Durdle officiating. Interment followed from Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery, Ming's Bight, NL.
