It is with sadness that the family of the late Ellis "Lavender" Barney announces his passing at The Labrador South Health Centre, Forteau, NL surrounded by his loving family, aged 90 years.

Lavender leaves to mourn his loving wife of 60 years, Stella; children, Daisy (Darrin) Andrews, & Sharlene (Ewart) Linstead; grandchildren, Dexter (Santana) Linstead, Francine (Michael) Roberts, Gavin (Kayla) Andrews, & Amanda (Jake) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Oakleigh, Luca, Weston, Paislee, Benson, Riley, Calvin, & Dawston; sister, Etta Barney; sister-in-law, Sandy Barney; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Lavender is predeceased by his parents, Ellis and Edith Barney; brother, Clyde Barney; parents-in-law, Arthur & Irene Ryland.

The public visitation will take place Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Gospel Hall, L'Anse Au Loup, NL.

The funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Hall, L'Anse Au Loup, NL.

The interment will follow at the Gospel Hall Cemetery, L'Anse Au Loup, NL.
