It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Dawe (Matthews) announces her passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 88 years.

Betty leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons, Wayne (Paula) Evans, Elmer (Darlene) Evans; daughter, Kim (David) Benson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darcy), Trevor (Lesley), Travis, Renee (Bradley), Cory (Amanda), Natasha (Aaron), Amanda (Robert); many great-grandchildren; brother, Jim; sisters, Vivian, Evelyn, Linda, Greta, Paula; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Dorcas Mercer; stepmother, Maria Mercer; husbands, Allen Matthews & Gord Dawe; brothers, Doug, Tom; sisters, Leona & Mary.

The public visitation will take place Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 1 pm from The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel, 27 Park Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The interment will follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel or the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
