It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Margaret Louise Foster announces her passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the age of 82 years.

Edna was born on January 17, 1941 in Round Harbour. She spent most of her life in La Scie. On June 26, 1962 she married her first husband, Jack Foster and they lived in Grand Falls-Windsor before moving back to La Scie to take over the family business. Edna worked many long, hard hours at "Jack's", the family run grocery store and came in contact with many great people and customers over the years.

Edna was a great hostess and was happiest when she was preparing and sharing many meals or playing a serious game of cards with family and friends whether at home in La Scie or at her cabin in Rocky Brook.

On July 25, 2015 Edna married Bryce Fudge and they could be seen riding around in their Rav, cheering on the Jets at Minor Hockey games and travelling the world (Hawaii, cruising the Caribbean, Florida, Fort McMurray and Texas just to name a few).

Edna's favourite pastime was bottling goods such as jam (famous for strawberry rhubarb), crab meat (of which she bought several boxes each summer), moose, beets, etc. only too proudly give most of those preserves away to many who came in contact with her. Her children and grandchildren will fondly remember her as the most kind and less selfish human to ever walk this earth.

Edna leave to mourn her children, Bev, John and Lora (Charlene); grandchildren, Shannon (Maddie), Stacie (Solomon), Mackenzie and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Carter; step-children, Sheila, Tina, Vincent, Lisa, Stephen and their families; brother, Derek Tilley; brother-in-law, Victor Burt; sister-in-law, Sylvia Laite; special friends, Ruby Martin and Penny Wells, as well as a large number of extended family and friends.

Edna is predeceased by her first husband, Jack Foster; second husband, Bryce Fudge; siblings, in-laws and many close friends.

Public visitation took place from Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, January 27, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from Zion United Church, La Scie, NL at 1 pm with Reverend Harry Oake officiating. Interment followed from Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
