It is with great sadness that the family of the late Douglas Glen Huxter announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 62 years.

Douglas leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother, Phyllis Huxter; the love of his life, Starlene Thomas; sisters, Glenda (Walter) Ryan, Francine (Glenn (Penney); brothers, Faron (who meant so much to him), Larry, Lawrence; daughters, Amanda, Jessica, Heather; grandchildren who he dearly loved, Brady Penney, Mya Moran, Seamus Moran, Sally Moran, Savannah Freitas, Sophia Freitas; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Douglas is predeceased by his father, Frank Garfield Huxter; son, Michael Douglas Smith; nan & pop Huxter; & nan & pop Shiner.

A special thank you to the ICU who cared for him. He will be greatly missed by his coworkers at Knelsen Sand & Gravel in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Douglas was the life of any party at work & at home.

The public visitation will take place Monday, May 19, 2025 at 7-9 pm from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, 40 Main Street, South Brook, NL.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11 am from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, 40 Main Street, South Brook, NL.

The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook, NL.
