It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Mabel Joy Andrews, known to many as Aunt Dot, after a brief stay at the Central NL Regional Health Center, on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 94.

Leaving to mourn, her son, Harold Andrews (Cathy); daughter, Marion Warford (Larry); grandchildren, Jamie Andrews, Twila Warford (Christopher Mercer), Kimberly Dunn (Peter Dunn), & Tenille Warford (Mark Elgar);  great-grandchildren, Allison Dunn, Eric Elgar; sister, Pearl Thompson; as well as a large number nieces and nephews that she adored.

Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband, Warren Andrews; parents; Theophilus & Nerena Stuckless; uncle,Theo and Aunt Renee; brothers,Lloyd Stuckless (Matilda), & Reginald Stuckless (Geraldine); brother-in-law Ashmore Thompson.

She was a mother, grandmother to all the school staff and students where she worked as the cafeteria cook for 20 years. Her legacy has been carried on through the years with great affection by their memories and their stories.

Our amazing mother and grandmother shared her love with the whole of the community through her baking, cooking, generosity, kindness and gentle spirit. She was an active member of her church and community up to her last days. She would make you feel like you were a treasure when really, she was ours.

She lived a wonderful life with a man who loved her dearly, in a community who loved her, in a family who loved her, and we were truly blessed!!!!

The public visitation will take place Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM  & 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM from The Salvation Army Citadel, Point Leamington, NL.

The funeral service will take place Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM from The Salvation Army Citadel, Point Leamington, NL

The interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Point Leamington, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to The Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Point Leamington, NL.
