It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Dorothy Eleanor Gillingham announces her passing from the Copper Crescent Long Term Care Facility, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, July 7, 2024, aged 86 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories are her children, Paul Gillingham (Jennifer), Robert Gillingham (Patricia), Michael Gillingham (Colleen) and Susan Gillingham; daughter-in-law, Naomi Gillingham; grandchildren, Jessie, Emily, Cheryl, Robyn, Dion, Lucas, Grace, Maria, Benjamin, Nadia and Ian; siblings-in-law, Jean Rice Bowers, Florence Rice, Goldie Rice, Olivia Hewlett and Mabel Banks (Gus), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Donald Gillingham; son, Jamie Gillingham; parents, Sterling and Dinah Rice; siblings, Raymond Rice, Evelyn Norman (Eric), Paul Rice, Mildred Stuckless (William), Elizabeth Dyer (Edgar), Harold Rice and Wallace Rice; parents-in-law, George and Eunice Gillingham; siblings-in-law, Joseph Gillingham (Effie), Clement Gillingham (Pearl), Elizabeth Rideout (Eric), Audrey Gillingham and Augustus Hewlett.

Public visitation will take place from St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service will take place from St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 2 pm, with Reverend Nancy Hulan officiatiing. Interment will follow from St. Swithin's Anglican Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL A0K 5E0.
