It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Edna Boone announces her passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 97 years.

Doris peacefully passed on Friday, September 27, 2024 surrounded by family.

Doris was born in LaScie on February 28, 1927 to Warrick & Ivy Tilley. As a homemaker, a wife, and a mother she was strong, feisty, determined and witty, always striving to make everything better. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing, making tarts and jam jams, and a daily game of skip-bo.

She was the loving mother of Roger (Debbie), Gerald (Margaret), Harvey (Karen), Mona, Dave (Carla), Deanna (Brian); grandmother to 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Keywood; son Robert; daughter Eleanor and son-in-law Robert Johnston. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Zion United Church, LaScie, NL on Tuesday, Oct 1, 2024 from 10am - 9pm.

The funeral service will take place from Zion United Church, LaScie, NL on Wednesday, Oct 2, 2024 at 2pm, with Rev Corey Paul officiating. Interment will follow from Zion United Cemetery, LaScie, NL.
