It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Donald Gerard Traverse announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the age of 85 years.

Left with a lifetime of beautiful memories is his wife Bridget Traverse; daughter, Sherry Walsh (Len); grandchildren, Constance Joy (Keith), Simone Hennebury (Jeff), Marquita Walsh (Josh Taylor), Donalda Walsh and Nicholas Walsh; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Regular, Jack Hennebury, Eddie Hennebury and Bridgette Joy; son-in-law, Edward Reeves; siblings-in-law, Josephine Traverse, Betty Traverse, Frank Lewis (Mary), Bill Lewis (Linda), Doreen Shea (James), Florence Dempsey (Art Clarke), Edna Try (Felix), Lovetta Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis,, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Donald is predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Traverse; parents, William and Kathleen Traverse; siblings, Mary Traverse, Clarence Traverse (Madeline), Jack Traverse and Edward Traverse; parents-in-law, William and Elizabeth Lewis; siblings-in-law, Josephine Mills (Ambrose), Elizabeth Noftall (Michael), Lucy Lewis (Joseph), Jenny Dollimont (Howard), Jack Lewis (Agnes), Dennis Lewis, George Lewis and Don Lewis.

In keeping with Donald's wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Rosary service took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 8:30 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1 pm. Interment followed at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
