It is with broken hearts the the family of the late Donald Manasseth Gillingham announces his passing. Donald passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Predeceased by his parents – George and Eunice Gillingham; sister – Elizabeth Rideout (Eric); brother – Joseph Gillingham (Effie); parents-in-law – Sterling and Dinah Rice; sisters-in-law – Mildred Stuckless (William), Elizabeth Dyer (Edgar) and Evelyn Norman (Eric); brothers-in-law – Paul Rice, Raymond Rice, Harold Rice, Wallace Rice and Augustus Hewlett; sisters-in-law - Pearl Gillingham and Audrey Rice.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Gillingham, Seal Cove, NL; children – Paul Gillingham (Jennifer), Toronto, ON, Robert Gillingham (Patricia), Seal Cove, NL, Michael Gillingham (Colleen), Pouch Cove, NL, Jamie Gillingham (Naomi), Toronto, ON and Susan Gillingham, St. John's, NL; grandchildren – Jessie, Emily, Cheryl, Robyn, Dion, Lucas, Grace, Maria, Benjamin, Nadia and Ian; siblings – Olivia Hewlett, Mabel Banks (Gus) and Clement Gillingham; siblings-in-law – Jean Rice Bowers, Florence Rice and Goldie Rice, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

The public visitation took place at Foster Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, continuing on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM. In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, public visitations must be limited to one family bubble at a time and visitors must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo id to attend the visitation.

Reverend Madonna Boone conducted a private family funeral service at St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be by invitation only, those attending the service must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo ID. Interment followed at St. Swithin's Anglican Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's memory to St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL A0K 5E0.
