Obituary

It is with sadness that the family of the late Dennis Critch announces his passing at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Halifax, NS, aged 62 years after a courageous battle with heart disease.

Dennis leaves to mourn his loving wife, Janice; Cherished daughter, Cecillia Critch (Stephen), loyal and loving brother, Gordon; step-son, Tyson, granddaughter, Tamara (Brandon); grandkids, Camille, TJ; and their mom, Sauna Boland; Parents-in-law, Harvey & Triffie Burton; sisters-in-law, Deanna (Luther) Bowers, Kim (Terry) Curtis, & Charlene (Bruce) Burton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Saunders and brother-in-law, Eric Newbury (Marjorie); aunts, Christine (Calvin) Austin, Lily Budgell, Lillian Critch; uncles, Earl Foss, Sandy (Judy) Critch, Randy (Jeannette) Critch; special cousins, Jaunita Bishop (Noelle), Richard Bishop (Kim), Richard Jr, Gordon William, Trudy Fudge (Dawn), Kathleen Critch (Willard); special boys, Morgan and Kyran; as well as many other close cousins, friends, and grand fur-baby, Minnie.

Dennis is predeceased by wife, Tracy; parents, Lillian Critch and Maxwell Bert Critch (Ethel); grandparents, Gordon & Ethel Foss; grandparents, Cecil Maxwell & Flossie Critch; parents in law, Evelyn & Frances Newbury; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Critch; brother-in-law, Calvin Saunders; uncles, Bert (Phyllis) Foss, Charlie Foss, Freeman Critch, & James Budgel; aunts, Goldie (Leo) Rumbolt, Ena (Eric) Fudge, Marjorie (Bryce) Fudge, Jeanette (Gordon) Bishop, Joyce (Ronald) Young & Viola (Randolph) Warren; cousins, Jason Fudge, Lorne Fudge, Danny Douglas Foss, Lou Rumbolt, & Cora (Aiden) Skinner.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dennis's Homecare workers, Christina Samson and Emma Dyer, Tina Fallis, Gaye Morey.

The family would like to acknowledge Jim & Carmen Koehn in Halifax Haven for all their support to Janice while she stayed there.

Dennis left an enormous imprint on the hearts of those that had the privilege to know him. He was quick witted, humorous and loved to tell jokes and stories. He had a passion for fishing and the outdoors. he was in his happy place when he was out in the boat, or on his side-by-side riding the trails; or having a jaunt down the cape on his Skidoo. His time with family and friends meant everything to him. He will be forever missed but his kindness, generosity and infectious grin will be remembered forever.

The public visitation will take place Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 PM from Zion United Church, LaScie, NL.

The funeral service will take place Monday, September 2, 2024 at 2 PM from Zion United Church, LaScie, NL with Rev. Harry Oake officiating. The internment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, LaScie, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are greatly accepted, or donations to assist the family.

Funral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL.
