Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Delilah Hannah (Rice) Hollett announces her passing. Delilah passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord at the Copper Crescent Long Term Care Facility, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, September 25th, 2020, with her family at her side. Delilah was 87 years of age.

Delilah is predeceased by her son - Ford Hollett; great-grandson - Mason Osbourne; mother - Edith Gavin (Dennis); her father - Edmund Wells; parents-in-law - William & Ginhilda Hollett; siblings - Ruby Biggin (Lloyd), Melvin Gavin, Arthur Wells, Tony Wells and Charles Wells and siblings-in-law - Velma Compton (Albert), Garfield Hollett, George Hollett and Pearce Banks.

Left with many fond and loving memories is her husband of 70 years - Maxwell Hollett, Baie Verte, NL; children - Madeline Osbourne (Bernard), Loretta Robinson (Peter), both of Seal Cove, NL, Donna Gale (Brian), Burlington, ON and Alvin Hollett (Tracey), Fort McMurray, AB; daughter-in-law - Elaine Banks; grandchildren - Darren Osbourne (Roxanne), Merdi Osbourne (Melanie), Michelle Hollett (Robert Murray), Tonia Lush (Lee), Wendy O'Shea (Richard), Julia Earle (Sheldon), David Robinson (Elizabeth Hunter), Chad Gale (Alyssa), Cody Gale and Dominic Hollett; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings - Hazel Banks, Fred Gavin (Jocelyn), Junior Gavin (Agnes), Leona Wells, Loretta Wells and Lou Wells; sister-in-law - Rowena Hollett (Guy Reid) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

The Hollett family would like to extend a heart full of appreciation of the staff of the White Bay Retirement Centre and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre for their exceptional care.

Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation. Reverend George Critchell conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Baie Verte, NL. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.

We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Delilah's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Hollett family.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Baie Verte, NL.
