It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Daniel Peter "Danny" Haas announces his tragic passing. Danny passed away suddenly at his family home in Brent's Cove, NL on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 at the age of 49 years.

Danny was born in Baie Verte, NL on June 3, 1971 to James and Margret Haas and spent his life growing up in Harbour Round. Danny attended school in Brent's Cove where he met the love of his life - Joan at the young age of thirteen. All throughout his younger years, Danny would walk from Harbour Round to Brent's Cove just to be with Joan. In 1993 they had their first child - Sabrina. After all the walks back and forth and weekend sleepovers at Joan's, in 2002 they decided to buy a home in Brent's Cove. Then in 2004 they had their second child - Kylie. In 2019 Danny became a "Poppa" to his precious granddaughter – Paisley, which completed his world.

After high school Danny attended trade school and became a welder. During his career, Danny worked mostly away from home to provide for his family. He enjoyed getting home from work to spend quality time with his family. Danny was known for lending a helping hand - he loved helping others. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially riding his quad in the winter. But when it came to cutting wood, well, he didn't want to hear talk of that at all! Danny was such a great sport and always there to make everyone laugh.

Predeceased by his - father James Haas; nephews – Jeremy Courtney, Mathew Courtney, Justin Regular, Jaxin Albersworth, Dawson Haas and Colin Matthews; sisters-in law - Shirley Matthews, Coretta Haas and Mary Ann Haas; brother-in-law - Eugene Haas and father-in-law - Bert Haas Sr.

Left with fond and loving memories is his wife - Joan Haas; his two daughters - Sabrina (Brady) and Kylie; granddaughter – Paisley; mother - Margret Haas; siblings - Cynthia Haas, Melissa Skinner (Clayton), Matilda Courtney (Gerald), Aggie Fudge (Steve), Johnny Haas and Keith Haas; mother-in-law - Anne Haas; sisters-in-law - Laura Sullivan (Gord) and Marie Matthews (Len); brothers-in-law - Bert Haas (Joanne), Wayne Haas (Ruby) and Roy Haas (Jackie) as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and an even larger circle of extended family and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation. Father Camillus Ekedobe will conduct a Private Funeral Mass at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted.
