It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Edison who passed away at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, Botwood, NL at the age of 73 after losing his battle with cancer.

Colin worked for Abitibi Price for over 30 years before his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting trips, fishing and spending time outside at his cabin. He was a huge sports fan. He played many sports in his youth and enjoyed watching games on tv. He loved spending time with his family and was always there if someone needed him. He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be missed by many.

Colin leaves to mourn with many memories his brothers, Harvey Edison (Olive), Claude Edison (Marie), Clarence Edison (Terry); sister, Benita Cambell (Robert); sister-in-law, Kelly Edison; close family members, Herman Curlew, Roy Curlew (Wendy), Betty Curlew, Cindy Curlew, Colin Mitchell (Aimee); goddaughters, Melissa Curlew, Mackenzie Mitchell; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Colin was predeceased by his parents, Glenora & Oswald Edison; brothers, Austin Edison, Alvin Edison; and close family members, Hettie Curlew and Una Curlew.

The family would like to thank the Dr. Hugh Twomey Palliative Care Staff. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Kirby for her many years of care and support.

The public visitation will take place Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 1-3 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

The funeral service will take place Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 3 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

The interment will follow at Botwood Community Cemetery, Botwood, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or a charity of ones choice.
