It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Clyde Sterling Foster announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL. Clyde returned to his Heavenly home on February 21, 2023, age 66 years, after a long and valiant battle with liver disease.

Clyde was born on May 16, 1956 to Robert and Audrey Foster. He met the love of his life, Geraldine in 1979 and they were married on December 13, 1986. Their 43 years of marriage was a happy time during which their family grew. Clyde gained four daughters and then their son was born in 1987.

Clyde was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. A devout man who loved God, a good hymn and his family above all else. He was funny and enjoyed a good laugh around the kitchen table.

Clyde was also an incredibly giving man. Even in the midst of his own illness he was continually thinking of others going through difficult times. He would ensure a card or a meal was sent to them to know he was thinking of them, and that they were in his prayers.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (nee Sacrey); forever remembered by his son, Dane (Alexis); daughters, Darlene (Wayne), Delores (Ches), Pauline (Bart) and Tonya (Scott); grandchildren, Stephanie (Justin), Jenna (Brandon), Aaron, Muriel and Xander; great-grandchildren, Kolbe, Spencer, Sophie and Blake; siblings, Melina (Keith), Joy (Ron), Lorne (Tassie), Leighton (Judy) and Treena (Colin) as well as numerous friends and extended family.

Clyde is predeceased by his father, Robert Foster and mother, Audrey Foster (nee Chipp).

Public visitation took place from Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Ivan Tilley officiating. Interment followed from Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
