It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Clayton Jimmie Newbury announces his peaceful passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, July 19, 2024, aged 82 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife of 59 years, Lizzie May Newbury, Shoe Cove, NL; children, Larry Newbury (Dolores), Shoe Cove, NL, Flossie Gray (Brian), Barrie ON, Sandy Newbury (Tracy), Shoe Cove, NL and Elvis Newbury (Cheri), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; grandchildren, Dean Newbury (Alysha), Sara Shea (William), Dylan Newbury (Kaitlyn), Chelsea Dube, Lucas Gray (Sarah), Austin Gray, Ethan Newbury and Carter Newbury; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Greycen, Jaxon, Jensen, Landon, Hunter, Arianna, and Brooks; sister, Marina Curnew (Joseph), Corner Brook, NL; sisters-in-law, Triffie Ward (Garland) and Barb Newbury, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Clayton is predeceased by his daughter, Cordella Newbury; parents, Maxwell and Ida Newbury; sisters, Edna Newbury and Lylie Gray; brother, Woodrow Newbury; parents-in-law, Leander and Lucy Gray; sisters-in-law, Grace Gray, Gloria Gray and Elsie Gray; brothers-in-law, Norman Gray, Harold Gray, Edward Gray and Maxwell Gray.

Public visitation will take place from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 10 am - 2 pm and 6 - 8 pm.

The funeral service will take place from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2 pm, with Reverend Corey Paul officiating. Interment will follow from First United Cemetery, Shoe Cove, NL. The funeral service will be live streamed, you can view this by going to Tracy Newbury's Facebook page.

As a expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Clayton's memory to a charity of one's choice.
