Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Catherine J. (Kay) Higgins announces her passing. Kay passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, May 12th, 2020 at the age of 63 years.

Kay is predeceased by her son – Jeffrey Beaton; father – James Higgins; parents-in-law - James & Bridget Sullivan and siblings-in-law – Joseph Pearce, Elwood Price and Giddus Regular.

Left with many wonderful memories is her husband – Kevin Haas; son – John Henifent; daughter – Marion Henifent (Matthew Atwood); grandchildren – Shania Atwood, Steven Atwood, James Lockyer-Henifent and Hunter Lockyer-Henifent; step-children – Martina Haas, Steve Haas, Jamie Haas (Val) and Kevin Haas (Natasha); step-grandchildren - Alyssa, Hannah, Olivia, Lily, Cadence and Norah; mother – Marie Jessie Higgins; siblings – Mary Ellen Brenton (Bruce), Philomena Pearce, Theresa Higgins (Bernie Gaudet), Marie Higgins-Price, Ann Donahue (Scott Murphy), Jim Higgins (Kim), Clar Higgins (Carol Ann), Chris Higgins and Matthew Higgins (Christine); siblings-in-law - Ellen Sullivan, Oliveira Kozy (Ed), Josie Sullivan, Joe Sullivan (Chris), Pius Sullivan (Sandy), Gord Sullivan (Laura), Glen Sullivan (Tammy), Maryanne Regular, Carrie Clarke (Todd), Cecil Sullivan, Norma Pinsent (Walter), Eldrick Parsons, Alvin Parsons, Bonita Lijs (Robert) and Keith Parsons (Sherry). as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and innumerable friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation or Mass of Christian Burial.

We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Kay's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Haas family.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
