The family of the late Calvin Arthur Noble are saddened to announce his passing on June 22nd, 2026 at Central Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 84.

He was predeceased by his parents Queenie May and Arthur Noble, his beloved daughter in-law Donna Noble. His brothers Malcom, Cyril (Joyce), Harvey (Golda), Lester (Maud). His Sisters: Neta Saunders (Joey), Stella Bartlett (Fred), Evelyn Wiseman (Wallace).

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Gladys, his sons; Glenn (Cathy), Gene (Darlene), Gregg (Elizabeth), Graham (Kathy), and Grant (Sherri-Lynn); his cherished grandchildren Crystal, Ceilia, Terri-Lynn, Gerad, Janet, Geneiva, Guila, Kaitlyn, Gavin, and Peyton. Great-grandchildren Marty, Gracie, Charlee, Marlee, Judah, Ezra, Caden, Chase, Haven, Silas, and Emery; as well as a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, lifelong friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched.

Calvin Arthur Noble was born on July 7,1941 in Middle Arm, NL where he learned from an early age the value of hard work. Raised in humble circumstances, he began working in the logging industry at just 14 years of age with a buck saw and an axe. What began as a young boy's determination to help provide for his family eventually became a lifelong legacy.

Through years of tireless dedication, countless long days in the woods, and many nights spent sleeping on log camp floors, he slowly built a better life for his family. With perseverance and unwavering determination, he purchased his first skidder and laid the foundation for what would become a thriving logging operation. As each of his five sons grew old enough, they joined him in the family business', learning not only the logging trade but the values that would shape their lives. Together they built successful companies creating opportunities for generations to come.

He often measured wealth not by what he owned, but by the satisfaction of an honest day's work. The success enjoyed by his family today is a direct reflection of the sacrifices he made, the example he set, and the work ethic he instilled in each of them. His greatest accomplishment was not simply the business' he built, but the family he raised and the values he passed on.

Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He took immense pride in his family and found his greatest joy in seeing them succeed. He earned the respect of everyone who knew him through his humility, integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.

His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a man whose hands built more than a business—they built a future for his family.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

By invitation, a private visitation will be held on Tuesday June 23,2026 from 3:30pm - 8:00pm.

The family will be continuing with a private family funeral on Wednesday, June 24,2026.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL
