It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Hart announces his passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on July 14, 2025 at the age of 74 years.

Calvin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Left with a lifetime of lasting memories are his wife, Catherine; daughter, Jennifer (Rick); son, Chris (Judy); grandchildren, Julie, James, Michael (Chantel), Christopher, Kenzie and Sarah. Also leaving to mourn his sister, Margaret; brother, Gerald (Irene); as well as many sisters & brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews.

Calvin is predeceased by his parents, Bertram & Minnie (Payne); in-laws, William & Rita (Beson) Hamilton; infant sister, Loretta; daughter, Joanne; as well as many other family members.

Dad was born and raised in Fogo, NL where he met his wife, Catherine, and he worked as a lab and x-ray tech for many years. They moved to Gander, NL and eventually moved to Grand Falls-Windsor, NL where he worked as a distributor for Brookfield Dairy Group for many years. Dad was known for his integrity and work ethic, and could often be found at the grocery store making sure the milk coolers were neat and tidy, even when he wasn't working.

Dad was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Always there to lend a hand, even to a complete stranger. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. HE loved to cook and was well known for his soup and preserves. Dad delighted in giving to others.

Thank you to the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre for your care during dad's illness, and also to the staff of the Lionel Kelland Hospice who provided dad with exceptional care and comfort during his final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

The public visitation will take place Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11 am from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
