It is with great sadness that the families of the late Calvin Roy Ball announce his passing after a short illness at the age of 75 years.

He passed peacefully away into the arms of God on January 21, 2024 at Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL surrounded by his wife, Eileen; daughter, Sarah; sisters, Catherine, Barbara (Garfield), Pauline (Ross), Angela (mother of two grandchildren) and sister-in-law, Lily.

Leaving to mourn his wife, Eileen Green-Ball; sons, Jeremy, Matthew (Tammy); daughter, Sarah; step-daughter, Nadine Hollett (Don); grandchildren, Alicea, Alannah, Gabrielle, Tobias, and Nathaniel Ball; siblings, Catherine Cooper, Barbara Canning (Garfield), Pauline Fowler (Ross), & Lori Short (Vaden); sisters-in-law, Lily and Norma; as well as a large number of sister and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends far and wide.

Predeceased by his first wife, Dona; brothers, Gilbert and Allan; parents, Wallace and Velna Ball; brother-in-law, Gary Cooper; niece, Deborah Fowler; and sister-in-law, Melvy Barnes; brother in law, Clarence Green.

We have lost a man who lived by a faith that never wavered each day of his life. Cal lived his life as he knew God wanted him to. He was devoted to his wife and families, going above and beyond whenever needed.

Cal gave of himself without expecting anything in return. He was a man trusted by his family and friends (of whom he had many).

He loved engaging in conversation with people from all walks of life.

He was very happy to come back home to his roots in Newfoundland and he found a new passion in gardening with his wife Eileen. He was very proud of Eileen's garden in Kelligrews and soon added his touch to parts of it.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Evangel Tabernacle in GFW , the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Special thank you to Staff at 3A and 3B and Carmelite House in GFW for their kindness and professionalism during his stay there. These people are truly some of Gods angels on earth.
