It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Mansfield Buckley announces his passing at his residence in Botwood, NL, at the age of 92 years.

Bruce went home to Glory peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his boys and extended family.

Bruce was born in Botwood, NL, to the late Harry and Clarice Buckley. It was there that he met the love of his life, Mabel White, and together they shared a beautiful life, marrying and raising their six sons.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Junior, Terry (Mary), Roger, Shawn, and Wade (Lucretia) Buckley; grandchildren, Denise (Harold) Peckford, Dwight Buckley, David Buckley, Jessica (David) Butt, and Tyler (Alyssa) Buckley; great-grandchildren, Logan Butt, London Butt, August Buckley, Tucker Buckley, Zach Peckford, Johnny Peckford, Aiden Buckley, and Ava Buckley; great-great-grandson, Kash Peckford; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Buckley; sisters, Marva (Edgar) Brent, Judy (Ivan) Moores, and Shiela (Ron) Jones; brother, Gerald (Linda) Buckley; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Bruce was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mabel Buckley; son, Donald Buckley; grandson, Jonathan Buckley; parents, Harry and Clarice Buckley; brothers, Reginald Buckley, Agnus Buckley, Harry Buckley, and Dennis Buckley; and sisters, Margaret Luther, Florence Jones, and Dalphine Canning.

Bruce spent his working career with the Canadian National Railway (CNR), later known as Terra Transport. Those who knew Bruce would describe him as dependable, steady, selfless, patient, and loving. He was a man who consistently put the needs of others before his own and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Above all, Bruce loved his Lord and Saviour and walked faithfully with Him throughout his life. His faith was not simply something he spoke about; it was something he lived. Bruce spent many hours reading Scripture and praying with his boys, teaching them the importance of faith, love, and leaning on God through every season of life. His greatest legacy will be the faith he passed on to his family.

Bruce will forever be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. To his family, he was simply "Daddy" and "Pop." The heartbreak they feel in his absence is a reflection of the depth of love, respect, and appreciation they held for him. His quiet strength, unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and love for his family will remain in their hearts and memories forever.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the End-of-Life Team at the Community Health Centre in Botwood for the exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism shown to Bruce and his family throughout his time of illness. Your kindness and support during such a difficult time will never be forgotten.

The public visitation will take place Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

The funeral service will take place Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Jubilee Pentecostal Tabernacle, 28 Fernwood Drive, Botwood, NL with Pastor Moral Bess officiating.

The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Botwood, NL.
