It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bobby Shawn Bert Penney announces his passing on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the age of 60 years.

Bobby Shawn Bert Penney was the 5th son of Frederick & Ada Penney, born on January 12th, 1966 at Smith's Hr. He was the mischievous one of us all & was always playing pranks & enjoyed a good laugh. Bobby spent many years on the water fishing before moving to Nova Scotia & later Alberta where he worked in forestry & operating heavy equipment.

He is predeceased by his Father Frederick Penney;  Eldest brother Dwight Penney; Grandparents - Archibald & Lucy Shiner, Leander &       Melinda Penney.

Left with fond & loving memories, his Loving & Caring mother Ada Penney; Daughters - Chantelle Hayes (Jeremy), Linnea Lyons (Travis); Siblings - Hughie Penney (Dianne), Howard Penney (Trudy), Lorne Penney (Alicia), Ralph Penney (Renee), Taffie Robinson (Dean), Dale Penney, Trudy Young (Gerald), Tamara Penney (Rob), Tracey Penney (Craig); Mother of his girls - Sherry Gibbs; as well as many nieces & nephews & a large circle of relatives & friends.

Public Visitation will take place Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM - 8:00PM.

The Funeral Service will take place Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00AM from Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL with Pastor Gary Bartlett officiating. Interment to follow from Bayview United Cemetery, Smith's Harbour, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bayview United Cemetery, Smith's Harbour, NL.
