It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Blanch Alfreda Blanchard announces her passing from the Western Pallative Care Unit, Corner Brook, NL on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, aged 75 years.
Left with a lifetime of precious memories is her husband of 57 years, Henry Blanchard; children, Arlene Osborne (Perry), Rodney Blanchard (Trudy) and Steven Blanchard; grandchildren, Ryan Osborne (Allison Manuel), Nicholas Blanchard (Mackenzie Roberts), Jake Blanchard, Regan Blanchard and Hunter Blanchard; siblings, Beatrice Pinksen (John), Reginald Pittman (Louise), Allan Pittman (Bernie), Sadie Pollard (Clarence), siblings-in-law, Christina Davis, Rowena Mercer, Bella Pittman (Lloyd) and Eric Blanchard (Cecily), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Blanch is predeceased by her parents, Enos and Eliza Pittman; grandchildren, Victoria Jane Helen Osborne and Evan Blanchard; siblings, Linda Clance and John Pittman (Georgina); nieces, Beth-Ann Young and Ruby Dredge; nephew, Matthew Randell; parents-in-law, Abraham and Mary Jane Blanchard; brothers-in-law, Leslie Blanchard, Edward Davis and Jerry Mercer; infant sister-in-law, Hilda Blanchard; sisters-in-law, Winnie Cassell (Andrew) and Amy Randell (Samuel).
Public visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2-5 pm.
The funeral service will take place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 12 pm, with Reverend Nancy Hulan officiating. Interment will follow from St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Blanch's memory to the Bear Cove Cabin Association by e-transfer at bearcove23@gmail.com .
The family would like to express great thanks to Dr. Slipp, Dr. Grant and medical staff at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, the medical staff at the Western Pallative Care Unit, Dr. Park and medical staff at the Cancer Clinic, Corner Brook, and Dr. Armstrong and the medical staff at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's for their constant care and support during Blanch's illness. Your dedication and kindess will not be forgotten.
