Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Billy Norman Loveless announces his peaceful passing at his home, surrounded by his family, on November 10, 2025, at the age of 55 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Louise; son Adam (Shelby); daughter Nora (Kris); father-in-law Ron Loveless; sister Tracy (Harry); sister-in-law Valerie (Stewart); and nieces Nicole (Arlen) and Mya. Billy also leaves behind a large circle of close friends who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Marion Loveless, and mother-in-law Marilyn Loveless.

Billy began his career with NL Hydro as a line worker, a job that took him to many places across the island, where he built lasting friendships with a large group of coworkers. In August 2008, Billy and his family moved to Grand Falls-Windsor, where he completed his career at the Bishop's Falls office.

A dedicated and caring father, Billy spent many years as a trainer for Adam's hockey teams — a role he found deeply fulfilling and rewarding. He was also Nora's greatest supporter, cheering her on in everything she did, from singing in church to training for marathons.

Billy took great pride in maintaining his yard. While Louise tended to the flowers, he could often be found outside late into the evening, ensuring everything was perfectly watered.

He also enjoyed the outdoors — whether it was long quad rides, salmon fishing, or moose hunting — always making sure to pack a good lunch for the adventure.

The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Team, especially Dr. Wendy House and Ruth Wall, for their kindness and compassionate care.
