Mother
Mother, you gave us love.
You gave us gentle encouragement
and tender affection.
We cherished our times together
because you were a sincere friend.
Someone we could openly laugh with,
Someone we could share a secret with,
Someone we could trust and admire.
Our stormy times became fewer
as we grew to realize that our
disagreements were not as important
as the things we stand together on,
and there was never an argument
so important between us to make us
hold back our love for you.
We appreciate and love you, Mother,
for all that you were
and for all that you did.
Brian, Dan, Hank.
