It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Augustus "Gus" Robert Mitchell announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the age of 81 years.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife of 61 years, Neta; children, Elvis, Lindsay (Jackie), Brenda (Graden), Pansy (Dale), Amy (Gilbert), Boyd (Lisa), Gaye (Carvel) and Gwen; grandchildren, Delmer (Allison), Jonathan, Robert, Rocky (Mandy), Glenda (Chuck), Lindsay (Chasity), Codi, Brayden (Chelsea), Alicia, Tyler, Troy (Victoria), Randi and Jodi; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Cassie (Max), Palma (Chester), Phoebe (Rayfield), Gordon (Myrtis), Jack (Clowie) and Eugene (Chloe); siblings-in-law, Yvonne , Gleason, Stella and Maud; aunt, Maisie Robinson (Boyce), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Gus is predeceased by his grandson, Mitchell; parents, Eleazer and Emma; brother, Lorne; baby sister, Evelyn; parents-in-law, George and Edith; siblings-in-law, Effie (Arthur), Fred, Lester and Calvin; uncle, Lewis; aunt, Mina.

Public visitation took place from Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 7-9 pm.

Funeral service took place from Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2 pm with Pastor Gary Bartlett officiating. Interment followed at Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
