It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Anthony Butler announces his passing. Anthony passed away near Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at the age of 68 years.
Anthony is predeceased by his wife – Susan; parents – Thomas and Josephine Butler; brothers – Donald Butler & Thomas Butler; sisters – Mary Margaret Butler & Mary Irene Butler; parents-in-law – Ernest & Thelma Desroche; siblings-in-law – Charlie Umperville, Paul Bochen & Paul Desroche as well as his aunts and uncles.
Left with fond and loving memories is his partner – Cathy Haas; children – Faye Gerard, Cumberland, BC, Kayla Butler (Cameron Andrews), Corner Brook, NL; step-son – Mark Desroche, Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren – Ashton, Lloyd Jr., Samuel, Allyson, Annaliesse, Anikyn & Lily; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings – Elizabeth Umperville, Christina Bochen, Walter Butler, Mary Butler (Donald Gallagher), Tyrone Butler, Delores Butler-Giles (Junior), Hilda Butler (Garry Haas), Allan Paul Butler, Ellen Butler (Craig Hunt) & Gloria Butler; siblings-in-law – Nancy Gallant-Matthews (Wayne), Leo Desroche (Sandra), Brian Desroche (Anne), Philip Desroche (Deana), Gary Desroche (Ellen), Edmund Desroche (Shirley), James Desroche (Ruby), Allen Desroche, Emmett Desroche & Ernest Desroche, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
The family will be accepting visitors on Friday, November 12th, 2021 at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL from 7:00-9:00PM. In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, visitors must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo id to attend the visitation.
A Private Family Celebration of His Life will take place at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at 10:00AM. Those attending the service must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo ID.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
